The Australian government has many large-scale data integration initiative and is always inventing new ones, but most are closed initiatives to make a few sets of data work together.
This presentation describes some national-scale data integration initiatives in Australia and describes the thoughts behind using a Semantic Web-based approach for them. Spoiler: it's probably the most powerful, most equitable, best able to be managed and organisation and system-change proof approach for the taxpayer.
In addition to describing previous initiatives, current work will be indicated too, and Semantic Web-based national-scale data integration in support of Digital Twins will be highlighted.
